Silver Tesla Cybertruck windshield crack warranty redo at 2107 Richmond Ave in Houston TX 77098. This is a FREE lifetime warranty redo from Oct 6 2026. Tesla Cybertruck glass is much thicker and wider than a normal windshield.
Original repair was a wide crack. The crack restarted from the top black frit edge where heat builds up. It ran right through the old resin, past the old drill hole and cone, then went 7 inches further. Photo taken at 11:26 AM under the red tent at Mobil 1 Lube Express.
Customer came back surprised we did not charge anything for the warranty redo. He said he wishes more businesses were like that. This FREE warranty saved him $1200 for Tesla windshield replacement plus calibration.
How we fixed it this time: We redrilled a new hole at the new end where the crack ran 7 inches past the old repair. We tapped the hole to make a cone into the crack, put resin in the cone, vacuumed the air out, then pressured resin into the tightest part of the crack. We used a long stick through the right front door window to push hard on the inside of the windshield under the crack to open it up so resin could flow into the tight section. Once past the first few inches the crack opens wider and resin flows easy.
Result: The new 7 inch section with no old resin came out 95% gone, almost invisible. The old section that reopened already had old hard resin inside like a jagged canyon, so new resin has spots – that section came out 75 to 80% better. First repair is always the sweet spot for best look.
